What To Do With Your Senior Pictures

SO, YOU’VE TAKEN YOUR SENIOR PICTURES… NOW WHAT? How should you display them?

You’ve gone through all of the fun of getting your senior photos taken, so now what do you do when you have all of your images? Your photos aren’t meant to just sit on your phone/computer forever, so here’s some fun ideas of how to display your photos after your session:

  1. Graduation Party Decorations - Displaying your senior pictures at your graduation party is a great way to show them off!! It’s really fun to create collages boards of photos of you throughout your entire life for your guests to look at. You can include your senior photos in your collages which is a fun touch! You can also have different photos as table centerpieces or have wallet photos sitting on a table for people to take home! Another fun idea is to create a path leading up to your party with photos from kindergarten - senior year.

  2. Table Top Displays - Table top displays are one of my favorite ways to showcase senior pictures! Table top displays include acrylic blocks, framed photos, albums, image boxes, and more! They can be displayed anywhere in your home or at your graduation party. They’re always eye catchers and a topic of conversation. My personal favorites are acrylic blocks and albums!

3. Albums - Albums are one of my all time favorite things to do with pictures! Think about how you grab old photo albums and look through them when you’re feeling reminiscent and how you feel while you’re flipping through the pages. That’s exactly what you’ll be doing when you look through your senior photo album years down the road. Graduating high school is such a monumental time in your life and it’s something that you’ll look back on for a lifetime, so having an album with your favorite senior pictures is perfect! Heirloom albums can also be passed down generations for future family.

4. Wall Art - If you’re looking for a statement, this is it! Wall art is such a fantastic way to make your house feel like a home. Hanging photos on the walls tells your story and makes everything feel more homey. There’s so many stunning, modern frames to choose from that can elevate any wall! You can hang one photo on a wall, make a collage in a bigger frame, or hang a few frames to create a gallery wall.

5. Polaroids/Wallets - Polaroids are one of my favorite new products!! They are SO FUN! Polaroids are such a cute memento to hold onto, to pass out to friends/family members, or to put in your dorm room! If you get any photos with your friends, family, or pet during your senior session you can get polaroid photos of those images which is so cute!! Wallets can also be adorable! When I was in high school we used to all trade wallet photos with each other. We’d write a little note on the back to whoever we were giving them to and it was so sweet. I still have all of the wallets my friends gave me and it’s such a fun thing!

6. Gifts for Family - Photos are always a great gift for family members! You can surprise them with some of your favorite senior pictures out of the blue, for their birthday, for Christmas, or anytime! Family members are always so thrilled to receive photos! You can gift them some wallets, some larger prints, a framed print, an acrylic block, polaroids, or whatever you think they’d like. There’s plenty of options for everyone’s taste!

7. Dorm Decor - If your senior session includes family photos or you get a picture with a friend or your pet, you can use those to decorate your dorm! I know you might not think it now, but you’ll miss your family while you’re away at school and you’ll want a nice photo of everyone together! Bringing along a family picture to put on your desk or somewhere in your dorm will make your room feel more cozy! You can also make a photo wall and use those pictures in it!

8. Yearbook - A lot of schools will allow you to use a senior picture for your formal yearbook photo. If not, most schools have a section of the yearbook for you to show off whatever photos you’d like (most people do a mix of childhood and senior photos) with a little note from your family.

9. Posting on Social Media - Senior Sunday woohoo!!! Sharing your senior pictures on social media is so much fun! It’s so fun to look at everyone’s senior pictures that they post and sharing them is part of the fun of the entire experience! You can finally participate in Senior Sunday and update your profile pictures!!
